Our Customer Service Award winner for May was Zac McLean from 'The Choppin Block Butchery’. Zac was nominated for his outstanding customer service and for always being friendly and welcoming.
Zac started in April 2019 as a Work Experience Student during the week which was quickly followed by being employed on Saturdays to cook the BBQ. When Zac left school at the end of 2019, he was given an opportunity to work full-time at ‘The Choppin Block’ which he took up due to his love for the fresh food and his strong aspiration to be a butcher. Zac was able to grow his confidence and build strong relationships with customers which has them returning.
Customers keep coming back to The Choppin Block not only because of the great customer service they receive from all staff members and the delicious food but Zac’s customer service is what really inspires them to return.
Owner of The Choppin Block, Jim Sommerville is very proud of Zac for achieving this award as it is very well deserved. Jim said “Zac’s customer service skills have been nothing but awesome from day 1. He is an asset to The Choppin Block Butchery and a very big thank you goes to the person or persons who nominated Zac for the ECCI Customer Service Award” and also a big congratulations to Graham Webb for being nominated for a Customer Service Award.
