Last night we were welcomed into local business, Just One More Stitch, for our May Business After Hours.
Leonie de Haas, owner of Just One More Stitch, provided guests with a tour of the premises, followed by an introduction to Janome’s new top-of-the-range sewing and embroidery machine. Leonie also spoke about the array of machines they have on display as part of their sewing machine museum, dating from the mid 1800’s and encompassing more than 34 different brands. Leonie shared stories of how various machines have arrived at the shop over the years, as gifts, roadside purchases, and even a generous donation of a sewing machine last night
To wrap up the evening, two lucky guests received door prizes donated by Just One More Stitch. All guests departed shortly after to attend the official opening of Shelley Payne MLC office.
A special thank you to Leonie and the team at Just One More Stitch for hosting the evening and sharing how her shop has evolved.
Thank you to Hospitality Esperance for providing delicious catering and to all who attended last night. We hope to see you all at our next Business After Hours on 9 June.
