February Customer Service Award Winner

The Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to recognise Maree Daw from Esperance Distillery as our February Customer Service Award winner.

The Customer Service Award celebrates individuals in our community who consistently go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service, a vital part of building a strong and thriving local business community. 

Maree has been part of the Esperance Distillery team since June 2025 and has quickly become a valued member of the business, known for her warm approach and genuine connection with customers. When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Maree shared that it’s the people. Maree says “I love our team and the variety of customers, locals and tourists.”

Her passion for customer interaction is clear, with every experience shaped by her approachable nature and willingness to help. Maree’s journey into the role came from a desire for something new, she said “I wanted something different, as I needed a change.”

That decision has clearly paid off, with Maree now playing an important role in delivering the welcoming and engaging experience Esperance Distillery is known for. Working in a distillery comes with its own challenges, especially when surrounded by quality products “Trying not to purchase the whole range of spirits,” she laughs.

Outside of work, Maree enjoys spending time with family and friends, heading to the beach, and experimenting with recipes often sharing her creations on TikTok.

Through her role, Maree has also gained a deeper appreciation for the industry and “How much effort goes into running a distillery.” Esperance Distillery itself has an impressive story, having started in 2020 as the smallest distillery in Australia a testament to local innovation and growth.

What keeps Maree motivated is simple “The team, the different people I get to meet, and helping them out.” Her positive attitude and commitment to customer service make her a standout in our local business community.
