Cyber Safety for Small Business

The following workshop will cover a current state of the Cyber Security Industry in Australia. The key factors which cause system compromise, staff training, cloud and inhouse system security.

• Overview of the current cyber threats (as relevant to small and medium businesses)  including types of threats, targets, and emerging threats.

• What are the most likely threats and which measures, all businesses should be taking to mitigate risk and overall threat exposure.

• Software or system recommendations to reduce risk (e.g. password management, data backup, maintenance, firewalls, anti-virus, spam-filtering, etc)

• What to do if you have been compromised (Who do I call?)

• Australian Cyber Security Standards (Essentials 8 Maturity Model, and how business can benefit from it)
