Converge 2025: Two days of big ideas, bold connections, and local impact

Converge 2025 has wrapped, and once again, our region came together to spark new conversations, explore local innovation, and shape what’s next for business and industry across Esperance.

Hosted by the Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI), in partnership with the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission, Converge 2025 was a two-day event held on Thursday 31 July and Friday 1 August, bringing together small businesses, industry leaders, farmers, tourism operators, professionals, and community changemakers.

Day One: From the ground up

Industry & Ag tours - Agriculture Workshops

Thursday kicked off with two dynamic streams: the Industry and Ag tours, which gave attendees a behind the scenes look at some of Esperance’s most innovative businesses and enterprises, and the Agriculture Workshops, where producers, growers and tech specialists explored emerging technologies shaping the future of farming.

The tour gave participants access to unique local businesses, from sustainability initiatives to food and hospitality ventures, showcasing how Esperance is diversifying and growing its economy. The workshops provided hands-on insight into the tools, trends and strategies that are future-proofing agriculture in our region.

Day Two: Collaboration in Action

Esperance Civic Centre - Conversations That Matter

On Friday, the Esperance Civic Centre transformed into a hub of insight and innovation, with a full day of panel discussions, keynote presentations, and facilitated conversations diving into the core themes driving our region forward, including sustainability, logistics, workforce development, tourism, agriculture, and small business resilience.

Attendees heard from passionate local leaders and external experts who brought a mix of lived experience, strategic vision, and fresh thinking to the stage. With more than 150 participants across both days, the event created genuine opportunities for collaboration, connection and collective momentum.
