Regional Development Australia (RDA) Goldfields Esperance is an Australian Government Initiative and part of a national network of federally funded committees. Our team includes a committee which is made up of up to 10 local leaders and our staff. We work together with all levels of government, business and community to support the economic development of the Goldfields Esperance region.
Our team have an active, collaborative and facilitative role in the community with a clear focus on growing a strong and confident regional economy which harnesses our competitive advantages, seizes on opportunities, and attracts investment.
We provide on the ground information up to the Federal Government through regular RDA forums, various national conferences and visits to Canberra to meet with Ministers.
RDA Goldfields Esperance is funded by the Australian Government and administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.

Regional Development Australia Goldfields-Esperance
Horizon Power is Western Australia’s regional and remote power provider. We serve business and residential customers across a service area of around 2.3 million square kilometres. Regional WA landscapes and conditions are incredibly diverse – and so are our customers’ needs. We know that living and working in remote and regional areas presents our customers with a range of challenges, including the impacts of climate change.
We’re working in and with our communities to transition to a renewable energy future to provide reliable and affordable electricity to WA. We’re exploring a range of specialised solutions such as microgrids for communities, more opportunities for household and businesses to access renewable energy and more choices related to sustainable transport such as electric vehicles.
Along the way, we’re working with our local, regional suppliers to invest in our regional communities, create local jobs and always respect the land.
More than 200 of our own Horizon Power team and their families live and work in the regional and remote communities we serve. Our people are dedicated to delivering cleaner, reliable energy solutions to support WA’s regional growth and vibrant communities.   
Southern Ports is a State Government-owned port authority in regional Western Australia.
We provide essential services and infrastructure that underpins the state’s economic growth and prosperity through the management of Western Australia’s three southern regional ports at Albany, Bunbury and Esperance.
As a gateway for trade and tourism, our ports collectively handle more than 35 million tonnes of cargo a year across bulk commodities and containers, while also welcoming cruise ships and specialty vessels to our regions.

Hope Community Services is an organisation dedicated to supporting people to successfully and meaningfully participate in life.
We exist to bring HOPE to people and communities facing the toughest challenges in Western Australia. The challenges we tackle include Alcohol and Drug Support, Mental Health, Family and Domestic Violence, Justice and Bail Services, Youth accommodation and Suicide Prevention.
In Esperance (Kepa Kurl), HOPE’s Community Alcohol and Other Drug Service (CADS) provides a comprehensive range of alcohol and other drug services and counselling to help individuals and families get their lives back on track.
Our headspace Esperance service is a safe place that provides inclusive mental health services for all young people aged between 12 and 25.
Our team is dedicated to delivering culturally-safe and evidence based programs and services that meet the needs of our clients. We believe delivering hope requires a community-led approach, a collaborative mindset, and the dedication to walk with our clients wherever it takes us, for however long we are needed.
We operate throughout the southern Goldfields. You can find our HOPE and headspace offices in Esperance, however we also run regular smaller communities and can provide telehealth appointments where required. All our services are totally free and delivered face-to-face in a non-judgemental and supportive environment.

They have been servicing the insurance requirements for Esperance businesses and farms now for over 40 years.
Australia’s Golden Outback (AGO) is the peak Regional Tourism Organisation with the key objective of increasing overnight leisure visitation to WA’s Golden Outback region, covering some 54% of Western Australia, to intrastate, interstate and international visitors.
In addition, AGO facilitates destination development, including operator capability building and experience development to develop visitor experiences that attract key target markets.
