Esperance Women's Leadership Network Event

On Friday 14 May 2021, 55 ladies from Esperance, Ravensthorpe & Hopetoun attended our first Esperance Women’s Leadership Network Event. Surrounded by the stunning Oil and watercolour paintings by James Giddy & sculptures by Jason Wooldridge in the Cannery Arts Centre.

The EWLN also aims to connect women in business with each other and key stakeholders who can assist in overcoming barriers for women in the workplace, the theme for our first EWLN for 2021 was all about Health, Wellbeing & Leadership.

Lisa Alexander, Sound Therapist was our first guest speaker. Lisa shared her story of how she was an ex-burnt out Lawyer who used Yoga & Meditation to deal with stress and turn her life around. Lisa calmed the room immediately & brought us all into the present moment with some breathwork & mindfulness.

Fiona McDonald, from McD Contracting told us about her “I Can Do It” philosophy & shared with us how she manages running her business, being a Director, President Wife & Mum. Fiona’s positive attitude & personality reminded us that we can do anything & need to do things for our own wellbeing too.

Thirdly Lauree Arnold, Life Coach shared her inspiring story of overcoming adversity & self-doubt to re-framing how we look at things to reach our potential & show up to be our true selves.

From listening to these three amazing ladies we all learnt that we need to listen to our bodies & inner thoughts, be true to ourselves & have a go!

We then shared a delicious lunch catered for by Breakaway Café.

Thank you to our Guest Speakers, the Cannery & our Sponsors Regional Development Australia.

We look forward to seeing you at our next EWLN event!
