About the Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry:
The Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) is a member organisation that serves and strengthens the Esperance business community. This is achieved through valuable networking activities, continuous promotion of local capabilities, distribution of relevant information to members, and specific support for members as required.
About the Business Local Advisor role:
The ECCI currently looking for an energetic, self-motivated person to fill our Business Local Adviser position. The Business Adviser will provide advice and guidance for people intending to establish their own business and assist those already established.
You will be working in an awesome team environment with excellent working conditions. The current contract expires on 30 June 2024. The ECCI will reapply for a further 3-year term once details are available.
To be considered for the position applicants must have experience in a similar role, have exceptional communication skills, experience in small business operations, managing financials and an enthusiastic approach to achieving goals.
The Business Adviser will provide advice for people intending to establish their own business and assist those already established.
Key duties include:-
· Deliver workshops and training on a regular basis
· On site client advice
· Develop action plans for new and existing businesses
· Assist small business with marketing, grants, business plans and general enquiries
· Assist small business with ECCI Business Award Applications
· Reporting on KPI’s
SELECTION CRITERIA
Please address the following selection criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience within and/or a sound understanding of the small business
sector.
2. Knowledge of business management principles as they relate to small business.
3. Demonstrated experience in delivering outcomes and reaching key performance
indicators.
4. Knowledge of the business environment, and the wider community, within the region.
5. Demonstrated experience developing business and marketing plans.
6. Knowledge of sound business and financial management skills.
7. Demonstrated experience in developing reports within a specific timeframe.
8. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
9. Demonstrated experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team and
working with external stakeholders.
