Apprentice Chef

Bistro Louis, located in beautiful Esperance, is on the look-out for a talented & passionate Apprentice Chef, starting immediately, to work with our small team as we develop our new café/catering/restaurant business.

Bistro Louis will open in March 2022 in the Museum Village. Starting small, we will offer high-quality coffee and a French-style snack menu. To manage current COVID restrictions we will initially be 100% take-away, with a shift to dine-in and more extensive, complex menu items in the coming months. Our vision for the future is to be open day and night, offering the warm, generous, satisfying experience associated with a traditional French bistro.

You will be working closely with chef/owner, Roger Poutet, who has 40 years’ experience in a range of cuisines and venues across Australia. The common themes to his career include a strong commitment to quality (produce, menu, technique) and a life-long love of learning and developing his craft.

With a competitive salary and comprehensive training, this is an opportunity for you to start building your career in hospitality. If you are a team player who works well under pressure and can demonstrate a hunger to learn about food, we want to meet you!
